The Reserve Bank's bimonthly monetary policy committee (MPC) meeting has started from today. The six-member panel will announce its decision on Friday, October 9.
Given inflation pressure, there is no doubt that it would be difficult for the MPC to cut rates in the near-term.
Is there room for rate cuts or will MPC hold rates? Why the three new members on MPC are seen as dovish and pro-growth? Will new members advocate for some unconventional and untested measures? and what those measures could be?
